Much like you, I have had a theme or project rolling around in my head and spirit for years. It’s not so much that I procrastinate, as it is that I struggle with whether it’s for all to see. And yet, it won’t leave me alone. Oh, and congratulations!!
Thank you so much! And yes, I completely understand that. Sometimes the question isn’t whether we can make the thing, but whether it’s meant to be witnessed by other people. The fact that it won’t leave you alone feels worth paying attention to, even if you’re still deciding what sharing it should look like.
Congratulations! It looks beautiful. Something similar aligned with my perspective and passion has been on my heart to do for months but I have been overthinking it. I believe the term is analysis paralysis…
I love that you finally made the thing beyond research, procrastination, and buffering in perfectionism. I, for one, know that's a big win. "This is one of several projects I’ve been sitting with for a while. Perfectionism will have me waiting for the whole idea to reveal itself before I make the first thing. I’ll keep revising the plan, changing the name, and convincing myself I’m still working on it." I can relate to this. Dear Source, my thing I was sitting on for ages, until I finally got the ball rolling. It's not perfect, and I don't fully know where I'm going, but as you said, "Maybe it just needs you to start," so I started. Congratulations on making your beautiful zine. I enjoyed reading about it. What you achieved is inspiring. Thank you.
