Socialight Society is the larger world behind much of my work.
Founded in 2021, Socialight Society began as an independent bookshop celebrating Black women writers and Black literature. What started with books has grown into a literary and cultural platform shaped by story, memory, community, and celebration.
Through curated books, gatherings, conversations, and creative projects, Socialight Society creates space for Black women’s stories to be read, remembered, and celebrated.
It’s where my love for books becomes public.
Where storytelling becomes gathering.
Where celebration becomes something we can practice together.
